FOUR SECOND HALF GOALS PROPEL MEN'S SOCCER OVER TEMPLE

The UMBC men's soccer team tallied four second half goals and went on to post a 4-0 victory over Temple at the Mountaineer Classic at Mt. St. Mary's College. UMBC (2-3) will meet St. Peter's (4-0), a 1-0 winner ofver the host school, for the title tomorrow at 2pm.

After a scoreless first half, sophomore Derek McElligott knocked in a rebound at the 49:45 mark to give netminder Brian Rowland (3 saves) the only support he would need. However, Brandon Quaranta (63:03), Alex Wilmot (71:42) and George Bakoulas (75:57) added scores to give UMBC its highest goal output of the young season.

The Retrievers outshot TU, 22-10. McElligott and Quaranta had a goal and an assist each.
