WOMEN'S SOCCER DRAWS WITH LOYOLA; EXTENDS UNBEATEN STREAK TO NINE

Junior Nicole Grinspoon, coming off the bench due to an ankle injury, scored with 18 minutes left as UMBC (8-5-2) rallied to deadlock Loyola, 1-1, in overtime at The McDonough School in Baltimore. The Greyhounds took a 1-0 lead in the first half, but Grinspoon headed in Jamie Gerhart's cross late in the game to give UMBC the draw. The Retrievers extended their unbeaten streak to nine straight and are 7-0-2 in that span. The shots were even at 16 all, with Viviana Saraceno leading both teams with 7 attempts. Retriever netminder Becky Hicock made 3 stops, while Loyola's goalie was forced to make 10 saves. UMBC resumes NEC play at home on Sunday with a match vs. Mt. St. Mary's.
