Daniel Saucedo

Daniel Saucedo joined the UMBC women’s soccer staff as assistant coach/recruiting coordinator in August, 2021.

The native of Monterrey, Mexico most recently served on the VMI staff as assistant women’s soccer coach for the 2020-21 campaign. Prior to his time in Lexington, Saucedo worked as a graduate assistant coach at the University of North Georgia. In two seasons with the Nighthawks, the team compiled a record of 26-8-3 and earned a No. 23 NCAA Division II national ranking in 2019. 

Saucedo earned his Master of Science degree in kinesiology from UNG in May, 2020.

The newest member of the Retriever coaching staff competed in men’s soccer at Emmanuel (Ga.) College and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology in May, 2012. He served as a select/academy coach at Athens (Ga.) Soccer Association from 2012-16 and as an assistant men’s soccer coach at Georgia Southwestern University from 2016-18. The GSU program earned the United Soccer Coaches’ academic award for two consecutive seasons.

Saucedo brings extensive experience in working with goalkeepers at Georgia Southwestern and North Georgia. The 2019 North Georgia squad recorded a program-best 13 shutouts during their 16-3-2 campaign.

He possesses a United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma and a U.S. Soccer Federation (U.S.S.F.) “D” license.
