Lexi Tepper is the UMBC Athlete of the Week after being named the America East Performer of the Week for crossing the finish line first overall, 17.23 seconds before the competition, as the UMBC Women's Cross Country won the Mount 5K Duals last Friday morning.

Tepper, a sophomore, won in 18:13.14, a nearly 2:30 improvement from her 26th place finish at the Duals last year (20:42.63). As a whole, the team improved its overall time by 2:06 minutes from the same course and event last year.
