Oliver Gassmann is the UMBC Athlete of the Week after he earned Swimmer of the Meet honors at the ECAC Winter Championships, which UMBC won.

He captured a pair of events on Sunday after taking the 100 butterfly in meet record time on Saturday.

The sophomore captured the 100 freestyle with a mark of 44.69 on Sunday. Then, he led a 1-2-3-4 Retriever finish in the 200 butterfly.
