Freshman Genelle Stephens is the UMBC Athlete of the Week after she took home Most Outstanding Rookie of the Meet honors at the America East Championships

Stephens won the 400 hurdles at 1:00.72, a personal-best effort, and was on the 4 x 400 relay that cruised to gold as they dusted the field by over three seconds, finishing with a season-best 3:42.12.
