Dion Brown is the UMBC Athlete of the Week after he was named the America East Men's Basketball Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
 
Brown, who earned the accolade for the first time in his career, averaged 25.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in a pair of games against Louisville and Marist last week. He also shot 53 percent from the floor as he converted 20-of-38 field goal attempts.
