Lexi Tepper is the UMBC Athlete of the Week after she recorded an impressive championships debut as she led the Retrievers across the line at the 2023 America East Women's Cross Country Championships held at the Penobscot Valley Country Club.

Tepper placed 29th overall in the field of 81 runners, posting a mark of 19:07.65 for the 5k. By contrast, the first-year collegian finished with a mark of 20:36.31 in the season opening meet at Mount St. Mary's.
