Nate Seeger enters his first season at UMBC in 2026. Seeger began his collegiate playing career at Elizabethtown College, where he earned multiple CVC Player of the Week honors and currently holds three school records (assists, single-game assists, assists per set). He later transferred to Catawba College to pursue his master’s degree in Sports Management, playing in the program’s inaugural men’s volleyball season in 2025.

Following his playing season at Catawba, Seeger transitioned into coaching, serving as a graduate assistant with the Catawba women’s volleyball team in the fall of 2025 and the men’s volleyball team in the spring of 2026. During his time at Catawba, he also completed his master’s thesis examining the growth and development of collegiate men’s volleyball, including a blueprint for establishing successful and sustainable collegiate men’s volleyball programs.

In addition to his collegiate experience, Seeger spent two years as the head coach of Triad United Volleyball Club in North Carolina.

Seeger was born and raised in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
