  • Title
    Assistant Coach
Jayson Kramer joined the UMBC Baseball coaching staff in September 2026 after spending the previous two seasons at Gettysburg College.

At Gettysburg, he helped guide the Bullets to their first 30-win season since 2014, and first back-to-back 25-win seasons since 2013-14. There he coached nine players who achieved All-Conference honors in the Centennial Conference, and coached three players who were named to the ABCA All-Region Team. As the hitting coach, the team had a .330 average (2025) and .315 (2026), and honed players’ hitting approach which led to more walks than strikeouts for both 2025 and 2026.

Kramer’s collegiate career started at Patrick Henry Community College, where he led the squad to an NJCAA Region X title in 2021. The Patriots advanced to the NJCAA Baseball World Series and finished third in the nation. An all-region performer in the outfield, he hit .372 and was awarded the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Gold Glove in his first season.

He then transferred to Mount St. Mary's for the 2023 and 2024 season. In his first year with the Mountaineers, he hit .312, starting 50 of the 51 games in the outfield. He started 107 games over two years, recording more than 50 hits each year, rapping out 22 doubles and 13 home runs among his 112 hits. In 2024, he earned MAAC All-Tournament honors. He was an All-Academic performer each season at both Patrick Henry and Mount St. Mary’s.

He earned his bachelor of science in sports management with a minor in business administration from Mount St. Mary's in May 2024.
