Clint Steele

Clint Steele, CSFM

Clint Steele, CSFM joined the UMBC staff in August of 2015. Steele will serve as the sports turf  technician for all athletic fields. He will be responsible for ensuring the readiness and safety of all athletic fields/turf for athletic-related activities. 

Prior to joining the Retrievers’ staff, Steele spent five years as a sports turf manager at Capitol Sports Fields in Hyattsville, Maryland. He previously worked as an assistant sports turf managerat George Mason (Va.) University. While working for the Patriots' staff, Steele’s team was presented wih the  “College Softball Field of the Year” award by the Sports Turf Managers Association in 2007.

Steele earned his degree in landscape and turf management from Virginia Tech in 2008. He earned the CSFM certification in 2018.
