Biography

High School: Lettered four years and led her Forest Park squad to back-to-back state title appearances in 2002 and 2003, including helping the Bruins to their first state championship in any sport in the 2003 season…over that span of two years went a combined 50-2…named Virginia High School League (VHSL) Coaches Award Virginia AAA Player of the Year in 2003…also earned first team AAA all-state, Northwest Region Player of the year and held the ranks of team captain her final two years (2002, 2003)…earned all-met honors by the Washington Post in 2003 and 2002…holds VHSL AAA career record in kills with 1,024…tallied 19 kills against Tallwood for the AAA state title…played with her sister and UMBC junior Megan Gross for three years, reaching the state championship quarterfinals in 2000 and 2001 with two different schools…an honor roll student.

 

Personal: One of four children to Larry and Pauline Gross…sister Megan is a junior for the Retrievers and other sister Morgan is a setter for Forest Park High School…has another brother James…born on November 2, 1985…has rehabilitated from a broken fibula which required surgery and a metal plate with eight screws that forced her to miss two entire club seasons.
