- Had a PR in the 800m (2:22.45) at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational.
- Had a PR in the 1,500m (4:52.36) at the Bison Classic.

BACKGROUND
- Helped the Hawks to a regional cross country title and a state championship in both indoor and outdoor track & field in her senior year
- Ran a personal best of 5:23 in the 1600 meters at the 2022 Scorpion Classic, despite fasting for Ramadan
- A Gold Honor Roll member in all four years at Urbana and a member of the National Honor Society and the National Math Honor Society
- Considering a major in computer science
- Likes seafood and the music of Weezer
- Played first violin in her high school orchestra and was president of the crochet club
- Daughter of Meryem Cherkaoui and Khalid Beraich
