Biography

2014 Outdoor: Won a bronze medal in the 400mdash and helped the 4x400m relay team claim gold at the 2014America East Outdoor Track and Field Championships… Afterfinishing fifth in the prelims of the 400m dash with a time of56.83, she trimmed her time to 56.47 to finish third in thefinals.

2013-14 Indoor: Set a career-best time of1:14.54 while winning the 500m run at the NYU Team Challenge at TheArmory… Her time ranks as the fourth-fastest in UMBC programhistory… Also competed in the 60m, 200m, 300m, and 400mevents during the winter season… Qualified for the ECACChampionships for the 200m, 400m, and 500m competitions.

2013 Outdoor: Set a new school record in the400m dash (55.63) while competing at the ECAC Championships atPrinceton… Placed fifth in the event at the 2013 AmericaEast Championships at Binghamton… Also advanced to thefinals in the 200m dash event at the conference meet, finishingseventh… Led off for the 4x100m relay and ran the third legfor the 4x400 team, both of whom won silver medals at America EastMeet… Recorded a season-best 100m time of 12.25 at the BigDawg Invitational at UMBC Stadium to move up to eighth all-time inRetriever history… Her time of 24.91 in the 200m dash at thesame meet ranks fifth in the school record book.

2012-13 Indoor: Broke the school record in the400m run with her career-best time of 55.80 at the ECACChampionships in Boston… Earned a bronze medal in the eventat the 2013 America East Indoor Championships… Anchored the4x400 relay team to a gold medal at the America East meet inBoston… Then led the same squad to a school-record time of3:44.06 at the ECAC Championships… Also placed fourth in the200m dash at the conference meet… Climbed to third in theUMBC record book in the 200m dash with a top career time of 24.52at the ECAC meet… Jumped to fourth in school history, at thetime, in the 500m event by setting a new personal-best time of1:15.50 at the Gotham Cup in New York.

2012 Outdoor: Part of the 4x200m relay teamthat broke the school record with a time of 1:38.04 at the PennRelays in Philadelphia... Anchored the 4x400m relay team to abronze medal at the America East Outdoor Championships... Finishedtenth in the 200m dash and 12th in the 400m dash at the conferencemeet in Maine.

2011-12 Indoor: Helped the 4x400m relay teamset a then-school record and win a bronze medal at the America EastIndoor Championships with a time of 3:48.54... Also finished sixthin the 400m dash at the conference meet in Boston... Led off forthe 4x200m relay team which broke the school record with a time of1:41.38.

2011 Outdoor: Finished fourth overall (56.72)in the 400m dash at the America East Championships... Also a partof the 4x100m, 4x200m, and 4x400m relay team... Named to theAmerica East Honor Roll.

2010-2011 Indoor: Won a bronze medal in the400m dash with a top performance time of 56.95 at the America EastIndoor Championships… Also placed seventh overall in the200m dash, (25.31) at the conference championships…Won the500m run at the 10th Annual Gulden Relays with a time of1:18.39.

Background: Won the 400-meter dash at theTennessee State Championships in 2009-10… Helped lead M.L.K.Magnet to the state and city championship in 2010 and runner-upin Tennessee in 2009…

Personal: Daughter of David and MalaJones… Has one sister, Ashlee… Majoring in managementof aging sevices… Born July 3, 1992.
