Biography
2018 Indoor: Competed solely in the shot put during the indoor season, setting a season best mark at the America East Championships with a throw of 11.42m.
2018 Outdoor: Had a breakout season for the Retrievers, breaking the school mark in the javelin with a throw of 53.08m at the America East Championships… Also placed ninth at the championships in the shot put with a throw of 12.36m, earning Most Outstanding Rookie honors and earning a trip to the NCAA Championships in Oregon.
Broke the national javelin record in 2017 with a throw of 58.15m… Broke the UMBC record in her first throw of her career with a throw of 49.57m, broke that record two throws later with a distance of 51.64m… Began competing when she was 12 years old… Her career goal is to get set the world record… Nwanaga majors in Financial Economics.
