Spring 2015: Earned America East Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll accolades… Won a key three-setter against Sydney Nowak of NJIT, 6-0, 1-6, 7-5 in America East competition… Posted identical 2-5 records in both singles and doubles competition in the spring.
Fall 2014: Debuted with a win over Loyola’s Ania Krawiec, 6-2, 6-4, and combined with teammate Charlotte Tonjann to defeat Towson’s duo of Ayana Dow and Cailey Easdale 6-4, 6-4… Clinched the team win with a comeback win over Arianne Polatnick of St. Joseph’s, 3-6, 6-3, 10-6 at the Tiger Classic.
Background: Participated in Orange Bowl- Tennis Europe in U12, U 14, U16, and ITF juniors competitions…Played for Second Class Holland tennis team in 2014…Received all high school athlete award in 2014…Also ran for school track team and placed first for district and regionals in the 1000 meters from 2008-2011… Hopes to pursue a career in economics… Received more than 20 offers, but “chose UMBC because of the team, coaches, and academic level”…Has one younger brother, David… Enjoys golf and skiing and all books by author Nicolas Sparks… Daughter of Hilarij Ambrozic and Claudia Valent.
