Accolades

·         Earned entrance in Chi Sigma Alpha in spring 2023

2022-23

·         Posted a best-finish of 11th in the 100 breaststroke at the America East Championships 

·         Finished 14th in the 50 freestyle at the ECAC Winter Championships

·         Edged by teammate Nyah Stahl and finished second in the 100 backstroke in the win over VMI

2021-22

  • A two-time finalist at the America East Championship and earned a silver in the 100 backstroke, finishing just behind champion Caroline Sargent
  • Competed at CSCAA National Invitational Championships
  • Posted a pair of third-place efforts in the 100 and 200 backstroke events at Seton Hall

2020-21

  • Touched in second place, behind teammate Caroline Sargent, in the 100 backstroke at VMI
  • Finished just off the podium, taking fourth place in the 100 backstroke at the America East Championships
  • Posted personal bests in 50 and 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke events in Newark

BACKGROUND 

  • Competed in the All-African Games and the Arab Junior Championships in the summer of 2019
  • Interested in a career in graphic design
  • An honor roll student at the El Alsson American International School in Cairo
  • A member of the Gezira Sporting Club
  • Enjoys the music of Alan Walker and the movie, The Book Thief
