Biography

2022-23

·         Set a personal best in the 50 butterfly at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships

·         Captured silver in the 50 freestyle at the America East Championships 

·         Earned two additional silvers as part of the 200 and 400 freestyle relays in Worcester

·         Won both the 50 and 100 freestyle events in victories at Howard and versus VMI

·         Took gold in the 50 freestyle at the NJIT Invitational 

 

2021-22

  • A two-time finalist in individual competition at America East Championships, placing third in the 100 freestyle and fifth in the 50 free
  • Earned gold on both UMBC medley relay winning teams and also competed in 200 and 400 sprint relays squads
  • Competed on both 200 and 400 UMBC medley relay squads at CSCAA National Invitational Championships
  • Produced personal bests in the 50 and 100 freestyle events at ECAC Winter Championships, placing second and third respectively against a strong field
  • Won both sprint freestyle events in the meet versus Towson and rallied on the final leg of the concluding 400 freestyle relay to earn four additional points in the 151-148 triumph

2020-21

  • In her first collegiate competition, won the 50 freestyle at George Mason Invitational
  • Also captured 50 free in dual meet at VMI
  • Just missed out on podium appearance in 50 freestyle at America East Championships, finishing in fourth place in a season best time of 24.00
  • Swam on four relays at the championships, earning two silvers and a bronze
  • Placed seventh in 100 freestyle in Newark

BACKGROUND:  

  • Placed fourth in the 50 free at the 2020 Maryland State Championships, posting a mark of 23.62
  • A member of the Retriever Aquatic Club and a key contributor to the team’s third-place finish at the 2019 Speedo Sectionals in Buffalo, N.Y
  • Considering a major in economics
  • Selected UMBC “because of the close-knit family environment and excellent coaching staff and academics”
