Biography

2021-22: 

  • A three-time finalist at America East Championships, highlighted by a third-place effort in the 200 butterfly 
  • Swam season best times and placed seventh in both the 500 freestyle and 400 IM
  • Won the 200 fly at William & Mary, the Retrievers’ lone gold of the early season meet

2020-21:

  • Earned gold in the 400 IM in the George Mason Invitational
  • Edged teammate Natalija Marin to win 200 butterfly at VMI
  • Edged by Marin in the same event, but earned silver at the America East Championships
  • Placed fourth in the 400 IM, the top UMBC finisher in the event in Newark

2019-20:

  • Produced an excellent post-season, competed in five finals in the 2020 ECAC and America East Championships
  • Capped the year with a fourth-place finish in Annapolis in the 200 butterfly, posting a personal best mark of 2:04.00
  • Placed fifth in the 200 fly in Worcester and posted a pair of sixth-place finishes in the 400 IM and 500 freestyle
  • Dominated the field in capturing the 500 freestyle in the dual meet versus Mason; also placed second versus the Patriots in the 200 fly
  • Won the 200 freestyle versus VMI
  • Earned two second-place finishes versus Delaware and Hopkins in the 200 fly and 500 free

BACKGROUND:

·         Has earned multiple team records and awards for her swim team, Frederick Area Swim Team

·         Finalist in the 100 butterfly at the Richmond Futures meet

·         Competes in butterfly and the individual medley

PERSONAL:

·         Daughter of Jamie and Shawn Kelly

·         Has six siblings, Shawna, Brady, Sidney, Airiana, Robin, and Dillon

·         Considering a major in political science and psychology and a career as an attorney

·         Her favorite food is chicken and she is a fan of Adele and the movie The Little Mermaid
