2016-17: Finished her run as a Retriever with a splash… Swam a career-best in the 100 free with a time of 54.38 at the America East Championships… Clocked in at 59.95 in the 100 fly… Competed in the 200 IM, touching in with a time of 2:13.70.

2015-16: Helped the Retrievers in freestyle events, as UMBC repeated as America East Champions... Recorded season best times in the 100 and 200 free, as well as the 200 IM at the America East Championships... Posted a time of 54.80 in the 100 free, just .05 seconds off her career best... Also posted times of 1:59.09 and 2:14.57 in the 200 free and 200 IM at the championships.

2014-15: Posted her best times of the season at the America East Championships, while also qualifying for the ECAC Championships... She turned in a time of 25.17 in the 50 free, the best of the season... She followed that with a 1:01.47 in the 100 fly... Swam the 100 free to a season best time of 55.33... At the ECAC meet, she touched the wall in a time of 25.49 in the 50 free, while also competing in the 100 fly (1:01.54) and 100 free (55.20).

2013-14: Recorded her top season times in the 50- (24.90), 100- (54.75), and 200-yd. freestyle (1:58.99) events at the 2014 America East Championships... Earned her highest college dual meet finish of third against Howard on Jan. 11 while competing in the 1,000 free… Touched in with her season-best 100 fly (1:03.84) time at the Patriot Invitational… Named to the America East Honor Roll.

Background: Achieved sectional cuts in 2012 and 2013… Named an All Star in the Mongomery County Swim League during the 2008 long course meet… Competed in the 2007 summer zones meet.

Personal: Daughter of Amanda Benedick and Steve Ross… Has one younger sister, Barb, and one younger brother Mattie… Plans to study psychology… Born Aug. 14, 1995.
