Biography

2021-22: 

  • Capped her season by placing sixth and eighth respectively in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events at the Navy Invitational 
  • Recorded season best times in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events at ECAC Winter Championships 
  • Earned fourth place and key points in the 200 breaststroke in UMBC’s win over Towson

2020-21:

  • Competed in both breaststroke events and the 200 IM at America East Championships

2019-20: 

  • Competed in two America East finals in her initial campaign
  • Swam personal bests in both breaststroke events and finished fifth in the 100
  • Also swam the 200 IM in Worcester
  • Earned a silver in the 200 IM versus George Mason, finishing just behind teammate Emma Bridges
  • Won the 100 yard breaststroke versus Howard
  • Placed fourth in both breaststroke events in the meet versus Delaware and Johns Hopkins

BACKGROUND:

  • Made first team All County all four years of highschool

  • A finalist at North Jersey’s Meet of Champions 

  • Helped her High school swim team win Passaic County swim meet

  • Hold school records in the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay

PERSONAL:

  • Daughter of Kristin and William Custance

  • Has three brothers, Evan, Colin, and Logan

  • Considering a major in English and would like to become an English teacher some day

  • When she's not swimming she's hanging out with friends, watching the movie Good Will Hunting, or reading the book The Great Gatsby
