2017-18:  Swam in three events at the America East Championships… Finished seventh in the 100 fly in a time of 56.94… Swam the 100 free in a time of 53.32… Also competed in the 200 free, clocking in with a time of 1:52.39… Received the America East Elite 18 Award for having the highest GPA at a championship site…Named to the America East All-Academic Team… America East Presidential Scholar-Athlete.

2016-17: At the ECAC Championships, competed in the 200 fly, touching in with a time of 2:11.85… Also swam the 200 free with a time of 1:55.97… Improved her 100 fly time at the America East Championships with a season-best time of 53.44, placing 19th… Also posted season-best times in the 50 free (24:57) and 100 fly (56.72)... Named to America East Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2015-16: Had her best swims of the year at the America East Championships and ECAC Championships in the spring... Finished 23rd at the ECAC Championships in the 100 free with a time of 52.81... Improved on her 100 fly time, going 57.06 at ECAC's, finishing in 14th place.

2014-15: Earned a spot in three final races at the America East Championships during her rookie season... Won the B final on the 100 fly with a time of 57.04, her best time of the season in that event... Finished third in the B final of the 200 free, touching in at 1:54.96... Placed third in the 100 free at the championships with a time of 52.58 in the B final.

Background: Earned MVP honors from Archbishop Spalding High School in swimming her senior year… Holds a Maryland State record in the 200 IM… Was a member of the honor roll and the National Honor Society.

Personal: Daughter of Patricia Gillen and Jeffery Atkinson… Has two brothers, Ian and Aidan… Not decided on a major… Born Aug. 15, 1996.
