NOTES:

  • Finished her career ranked sixth in goals (133) and 12th in points (155).

  • Became the first women’s lacrosse player to earn America East All-Academic Team honors in three consecutive seasons and the 11th in conference history.

  • Was selected as a finalist for the 2019 America East Woman of the Year award.

2019: 

  • Appeared and started in 13 games this season.

  • Tied for fifth on the team with 24 points off 20 goals and four assists.

  • Scored double-digits in points and goals for the fourth season in a row.

  • Ranked third on the team with 35 draw controls.

  • Against Temple, led the Retrievers with four goals and eight draws.

  • Also had a four-point performance against Johns Hopkins (2g, 2a).

  • Scored three goals against VCU and Stony Brook.

  • Recorded a point in 11 of the 13 games she played in.

  • Tabbed as one of two Outstanding Female Senior Athlete at the 2019 Grittys.

2018: Started in all 17 games this season... Third on the team in points with 44 (38g, 6a)… Controlled 63 draws, which was second on the team… Ranked fourth in the America East in draw controls per game (3.76)… Scored a season-high six goals against LIU Brooklyn… Scored multiple goals in 11 of UMBC’s 17 games… Controlled nine draws against Vermont, while also scooping up four ground balls… Named to the America East All-Conference Second Team and All-Academic Team… Received ECAC Spring President’s Honor Roll honors… Inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma (National College Athlete Honor Society)… Graduated from UMBC in three years

2017: Saw action in 17 games and started in 16…. Selected to America East All-Conference second team and All-Academic Team… Recorded 68 points off a program-record 62 goals and six assists… Her 68 points rank third in a single season at UMBC… Scored a career-high eight goals twice against Binghamton and at Vermont... Controlled four draws at Vermont… Picked up a season-high four ground balls at VCU… Ranked fourth in the America East and eighth in the NCAA in goals per game (3.65)... Led the team in man-up goals (5) and free-position goals (9)... Ranked seventh in America East for points per game (4.00)... Ranked second in America East in game-winning goals (3)... Named America East Offensive Player of the Week two times this season (4/17 and 5/1)… Named Northwestern Mutual Athlete of the Week for the week of May 1

2016: Led the freshmen class with 19 points (13g, 6a) ... Started in 11 games and saw action in 12... Made her first collegiate start in the home opener against VCU where she dished one assist in a 20-5 win... Scored her first collegiate goal in the win over American... Scored two goals against George Washington... Returned to the starting lineup against Duquesne while registering two goals and one helper... Picked up season-high six draw controls in win over UMass Lowell… Recorded two goals and three draw controls against Hopkins... Led the freshmen class in draw controls (16)… Named to the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

BACKGROUND: A four-year varsity starter at Catonsville High School… A four-year member of the Baltimore County All-Academic Team… Named to the All-County First Team during her senior season... Earned team Most Valuable Player honors as a senior after registering 62 goals and 30 assists... Led the Comets to a state title appearance as a junior… Named Catonsville Times Athlete of the Year in 2014 and 2015… Also earned Attacker of the Year as a junior… Helped lead the Comets to a state semifinal appearance after pacing the squad with 49 goals and 31 assists in 2014… Earned three straight Maryland State 3A/4A regional championships… Also lettered in soccer and basketball all four years at Catonsville High School… Earned All-County Second Team honors in soccer as a senior... Played club ball for the Hero’s… A National Honor Society, Math Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society member… A member of the Student Sharing Coalition… Daughter of Jeff McDonald and Kathy Hensler… An only child… Majoring in environmental science and minoring in psychology.
