Biography

2023 (JUNIOR):

  • Was named to the America East All-Conference First Team.
  • Played and started 13 games for the Retrievers during her junior season
  • Finished second in the America East with 2.4 caused turnovers per game.
  • Her 31 caused turnovers were a UMBC single-season record.
  • Was second on the team with 24 ground balls and also added 31 draw controls.
  • Finished 11th in the conference with 1.85 ground balls per game and was 14th in draw controls per game (2.38)
  • Recorded a career-high six caused turnovers at Bucknell (2/15) and added three draws.
  • Forced five miscues versus Delaware (3/1) and added four more against UMass Lowell (4/15).
  • Also added a career-best six ground balls against Delaware.
  • Caused at least one turnover in every game.
  • Enters the 2024 season just 12 caused turnovers shy of the program record.


2022 (SOPHOMORE):

  • Was named to the America East All-Conference Second Team.
  • Played and started in 12 games for the Retrievers after missing some time with an injury.
  • Had 41 draw controls, caused 16 turnovers with 14 ground balls playing on the defensive end.
  • Collected a season-high six draw controls against George Washington.

2021 (FRESHMAN):

  • Started every game of the 2021 season.
  • Named to the America East All-Conference Second Team and All-Rookie Team.
  • Scored one goal in the 27-16 victory over Binghamton (4/24).
  • Brought down 37 draw controls, picked up 15 ground balls, and forced 15 turnovers.
  • Had a career-high eight draw controls in a win against Binghamton (3/27); also caused three turnovers and picked up three ground balls.
  • Forced a career-high four turnovers twice (UMass Lowell, Vermont).
  • Had at least one ground ball in 10 games.

BACKGROUND:

  • Played midfield and defense for Brigid Scanlon at South Carroll.
  • Won a regional championship and 2A class state championships with the Cavaliers in 2019.
  • Named Second-Team All-County by the Carroll County Lacrosse Athletic Board as a sophomore.
  • Earned CCLAB honorable mentions as a freshman and junior.
  • Member of the National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
  • Was an Environmental Mentor and Peer Facilitator.
  • Played club lacrosse for Heros Club.


PERSONAL:

  • Daughter of Shelby and Bryan Evans.
  • Has one sister, Riley, who plays lacrosse at St. Joseph’s.
  • Studying media and communication studies with career ambitions to be a wedding and event planner.
