Biography

2024 (Junior):

  • Nelson made a massive jump in her third season in Baltimore and earned America East First Team All-Conference honors,
  • Finished fourth in the conference with 2.86 goals per game.
  • Was second on the squad with 40 goals.
  • Recorded eight hat-tricks on the season.
  • Produced at least two goals in all 15 contests.
  • Went 8-for-14 on free position opportunities.
  • Hit the target a career-high five times against Mount St. Mary's.
  • Scored four times against both UAlbany and Binghamton.

2023 (Sophomore):

  • Played in all 14 games in her second season in Baltimore.
  • Produced 14 goals and added a pair of assists for 19 points. Five of her tallies were woman-up markers.
  • Also added 12 ground balls and 21 draw controls.
  • Recorded hat-tricks with three goals against Bucknell (2/15), UMass Lowell (4/15) and New Hampshire (4/29).
  • Also scored a pair of goals at UAlbany (4/7).
  • Picked up two ground balls against Delaware (3/1), Bryant (4/1), and New Hampshire (4/29).
  • Won a season-high four draws versus American (2/18).
  • Also had three draw controls against George Washington (2/11), La Salle (3/14), and UMass Lowell (4/15).

2022 (Freshman):

  • Played in eight games during her first season with the Retrievers.
  • Scored seven goals for seven points with one draw control and one ground ball.
  • Scored a season-high three goals against UAlbany on May 5.
  • Picked up her lone draw control against Bucknell on March 13.

Background:

  • Played midfield at Hershey High School for coach Corrie Anderson.
  • Led the Trojans to a MidPenn Conference Championships in 2019.
  • Was named to the 2019 MidPenn All-Star First Team.
  • Earned 2018 Rookie of the Year honors.
  • Helped Hershey to MidPenn and District championships in 2018.
  • Also lettered in field hockey, where she won a state championship in 2018. 
  • Played club lacrosse for Xtreme Lacrosse Club.
  • Member of the National Honors Society. 
  • Daughter of Diane and Geoff Nelson.
  • Has one sibling, Tanner.
  • Studying financial economics with hopes of becoming an accountant or actuary.
