Biography

2008: Team co-captain… Started the first eight games of the season before suffering a knee injury and missing the next nine… Scored six goals before the injury, including a season-high three against Loyola… Tallied three points on a goal and two assists in the season opener against Hofstra… Added two ground balls, two draw controls and a season-high three caused turnovers against the Pride… Notched two goals and added a season-high six draw controls at Binghamton… Returned for the season finale against Boston University and scored a goal… Selected to the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll… Received the Retriever Club Scholarship at UMBC’s annual varsity awards banquet… Earned recognition on the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2007: Led the Retrievers with 29 goals and 42 draw controls… Also ranked fourth on the team with 35 points after adding six assists… Started all 17 games, picked up 19 ground balls and caused eight turnovers… Scored on eight of 14 free-position attempts, tying for third in the America East with 0.47 per game… Tied her career-high with four goals and won a season-best seven draw controls against Old Dominion… Posted four other hat tricks on the season… Scored the game-winner against Binghamton… Scored four points in each of the first two games of the season, with two goals and two assists against Howard and three goals and an assist against Maryland… Scored goals in the first five games of the season, and had a seven-game scoring streak near the end of the season… Posted 10 multi-goal games… Earned recognition on the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2006: Named to the America East All-Rookie Team… Led the team with 46 ground balls and three game-winning goals and ranked second with 37 draw controls, fifth with 24 goals and sixth with 28 points… Her 24 goals were the most by a Retriever rookie since teammate Kelly Fahey in 2003… Also added four assists and nine caused turnovers on the season… Scored 11 goals and 14 points in conference play… Tied for third in the conference with 0.17 game-winning goals per game and tied for the league lead with 0.33 game-winners per America East contest… Also tied for fourth in the league with 3.17 ground balls per league game… Played in 18 games for the Retrievers, starting 17… Tallied her first career points with a goal and an assist off the bench in the season opener against Howard… Scored a career-high four goals, including the game-winner, to lead the Retrievers past Delaware, 12-9… Scored the game-winner on a free-position shot with 18 seconds remaining in a 9-8 victory over America East rival Albany in the conference opener… Tied her career high with four goals, including the game-winner, and added seven ground balls in UMBC’s 16-13 upset victory over defending America East champion Boston University… Posted a hat trick and added five draw controls at American… Scored four points on three goals and an assist against Vermont… Named America East Rookie of the Week after scoring two goals, including one which tied the game in a 14-12 loss to No. 11 William and Mary… Named womenslacrosse.com Rookie of the Week for her role in the victory over Boston U.

Background: Received first-team all-county honors from The Aegis as a senior, second-team as a sophomore and junior and honorable mention as a freshman… Helped lead C. Milton Wright to a state championship title in 2004 and an undefeated county record all four years… A high school teammate of current Retriever Ashley Lancer... Also lettered in soccer for two years in high school… A member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society… Was a National Merit semifinalist and an Al Cesky Scholarship finalist… Earned the Presidential Academic Award, the Award for Academic Excellence and the Minds in Motion Award… Daughter of Roger and Susan Dorr… Has an older brother, Justin… Born July 5, 1987… Majoring in political science.
