BACKGROUND: The 2010 Frederick News-Post Offensive Player of the Year after leading the county with 91 goals and 35 assists… Earned Player of the Year honors from the Gazette and All-Met honorable mention from the Washington Post in 2009, when she scored a county-best 59 goals and added 21 assists… Also led Frederick County in scoring as a sophomore with 66 goals and 16 assists… A three-timeFrederick News-Post and All-Gazette first-team selection and IAAM all-star…. Also garnered second-team honors as a freshman… Finished her career with 229 goals and 84 assists… Led St. John’s Catholic Prep to back-to-back IAAM ‘C’ Conference titles… Scored eight goals and added an assist in the 2009 championship game and tallied four goals and two assists in the 2010 contest… Led the Vikings to a perfect 17-0 season as a senior… Also a soccer and basketball standout at St. John’s… Named theGazette Player of the Year for soccer in 2009… Chose UMBC over Duquesne and Towson… Daughter of Kevin and Judy Ballenger… Has an older brother, Joe, and an older sister, Julie… Born April 5, 1992… A pre-dentistry major who hopes to become a dentist.
