2013: Battled injury down the stretch, butstarted 10 games and made 11 appearances… Recorded nineground balls, four caused turnovers and three draw controls…Started in her UMBC debut in the season-opener versus American andrecorded a ground ball… Tallied two ground balls, two causedturnovers and a draw control at Wagner… Picked up two groundballs versus Vermont after missing the previous two games due to alower leg injury.  

BACKGROUND: Played for the 2011 statechampionship Mariotts Ridge High School… Helped her team to aHoward County and District V Championship as a senior, part ofdefense that allowed 3.9 goals per game… A Greater Baltimoreregional All-American and an Under Armour All-American in her finalseason with the Mustangs… A three-time Howard CountyTimes All-County honoree (2009-11)…Received Baltimore Sun All-County honors in 2010and 2011… Recognized on the BaltimoreSun and the Washington Post All-Metroteams in 2011… Named an ESPN All-AmericanHonorable Mention and one of ESPN’s “TopTen Defenders” as a junior… Put on InsideLacrosse Magazine’s 2011 Watch List… Alsocompeted for the Mustangs’ basketball team and field hockeyteam during her sophomore year… Earned First Team All-Countyhonors in field hockey… An honor roll student… Daughterof Mark and Bernadette Zabel… Has six siblings, Matt, Katie,John, Jimmy and Monica… Five of the six children play orplayed sports collegiately… Born Dec. 26, 1993… Majoris undecided.
