Biography

2021: Led the team in average (.353), hits (42), runs (32). stolen bases (18) and triples (4)...America East All-Championship Team...Was one of the hardest in the nation to strikeout, only striking out five times in 119 at-bats...Finished as the program's all-time leader in triples (16)..Ended her career tenth in program history in hits (209), eighth in runs (129) and fourth in stolen bases (67)...Went 2-for-4 with a run scored, a double and a stolen base in NCAA Tournament against Villanova...Had a hit at No.11 Arizona in NCAA Tournament...Had game-tying, two-out RBI single in the seventh and eventually scored the winning run in 3-2 win at Stony Brook on May 7...Had four, three-hit games...12 multi-hit games...Started 35 of the 37 games she appeared in...Had a hit in 26 games...Went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two stolen bases at Delaware State on March 7th...Went 3-for-3 with two runs scored (including the winning run) and a double on March 21st against Morgan State...Struck out just once in final 27 games

2020: Started all 14 games for the Retrievers, hitting a team-best .390....Usually batting at the top of the order, she recorded a hit in 10 of the 14 games and had three three-hit games...Led the team in stolen bases with five, hits with 16 and was second on the team in runs scored with six...Went 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and scored a run in the season-opener against Iona on February 21...Defensively, she led the team with 20 assists and also helped turn three double plays...One of the toughest in the NCAA to strikeout, as she struckout just once in 41 at-bats.

2019: Appeared in all 54 games, making 52 starts...Lead the America East and team with a career-high 19 stolen bases...Scored a team-best 38 runs, which was fourth-best in the conference....Was one of only three Retrievers to collect 50 hits on the season...Had 13 multi-hit games...Went 2-for-3 with three RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base against North Carolina A&T (3/2)...Her 176 at-bats were second in the America East...Top 10 in the conference in hits...Finished the season third all-time in UMBC history in career triples (11) and ninth in stolen bases (44)....Her 19 stolen bases were second most by a junior in program history.

2018: Played in 43 games for the Retrievers... Batted at a .275 clip, with a .344 on-base percentage and a .377 slugging percentage... Had eight extra base hits to go along with 17 RBI... Had nine multi-hit games... Went 3-3 with two runs scored against Saint Joseph's (Feb. 16)... Went 2-3 with three runs scored against Morgan State (March 10)... Had a home run and four RBI in an 11-1 win over Hartford (April 28) 

2017: Played in 48 games for the Retrievers... Had a .375 batting average, a .426 on-base percentage, and a .506 slugging percentage... Hit 15 extra base hits and 19 RBI... Started the season with an 11-game hit streak... Had a 10-game hit streak during the season... Had 15 multi-hit games... Ranked third in the America East in batting average (.375), first in hits (63), second in triples (5), fifth in total bases (85), fourth in stolen bases (14), and second in at bats (168)... Had a five game stretch where she hit 15-18, eights runs scored, two doubles, three triples, a home run, six RBI, and four stolen bases (March 8-12)... Registered five hits, three runs scored, a double, and two RBI in a doubleheader against Coppin State (March 23)... Named to America East All-Rookie Team

Background: Led the Boulder Creek High School Softball team to the playoffs all four years… Batted in the winning run and turned a key double play in the state playoff victory over Mt. Ridge… A three-time Gold Glove honoree… Ranked top batting average in Arizona as a freshman… Ranked top-5 batting average in the state for three years… Member of the All-State Defensive team her senior year… Also lettered in Badminton … Played for the Arizona Hotshots travel team… Honor Roll student… Received High Academic honors… Daughter of Scott and Shawn Daigneau… Younger sister of Brittney… Double-Majoring in Media and communications and Psychology
