Biography

AS A SENIOR (2024):

  • Started in 34 of 35 games played
  • Had a home run against Niagara on 3/14
  • Went 10-12 in stolen base attempts
  • Hit .171 in 70 at-bats with 13 runs, two doubles, a triple, seven RBIs, and 16 walks
  • Picked up a hit against Bryant in the America East Tournament 


AS A JUNIOR (2023):

  • Appeared in 42 games, starting 37
  • Finished second on the team in doubles (9) and runs scored (23)
  • Hit her first career homer at Bryant on 4/29
  • Earned a spot on the America East All-Championship Team after batting .400 with an RBI, three runs scored and a double over the three games
  • Had a pair of three-hit games at UMass Lowell and Bryant
  • Had three assists from the outfield for the season
  • Smacked a double against Nebraska in the NCAA Tournament
  • Went 8-for-9 on stolen bases


AS A SOPHOMORE (2022):

  • Appeared in 34 games, starting 29
  • Had the game-winning hit against Morgan State on 3/5
  • Went 1-for-3 with a run scored in the win at Maryland on 3/16
  • Drove in seven runs
  • Had SportsCenter Top Play nomination for her incredible diving catch against Georgia in the NCAA Tournament.


AS A FRESHMAN (2021): 

  • Started five of the 17 games she appeared in
  • Picked up her first-career hit and RBI with a run-scoring double against Villanova on April 2nd
  • Scored a run in 4-1 win at Stony Brook to help UMBC clinch its first-ever America East Regular Season title.

Background: First Team All-Washington Catholic Athletic Conference; Led Elizabeth Seton High School with stolen bases, BA of .619, and an OBP of .670; Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) Mid-Atlantic Triple Impact Competitor Finalist-Honor the Game Award; Roadrunner Award; Voted Senior Class of 2020 “Most Athletic”, three-sport Athlete in high school...Played on high school soccer team where she was Captain and earned the Coach's MVP Award.

Personal: Daughter of Matthew and Lara Granzow...Has two sisters, Lily (21) and Mara (11)...Has seven cousins who play Division 1 athletics...Uncle played football at University of Houston..Has a cousin on the Professional Beach Volleyball tour and another who plays for the Washington Nationals... Majoring in Mechanical Engineering...Lists favorite pro team as the Washington Nationals and favorite movie as Moana.
