BACKGROUND: Named the 2011 Player of the Year by the Gazette and earned honorable mention from the Washington Post after batting .540 with five home runs and 27 RBIs… Also posted a .990 fielding percentage behind the plate with just one passed ball and threw out seven of nine runners attempting to steal second base… Earned first-team all-Gazette accolades in 2010, when she batted .527 with five home runs and 17 RBIs… Also selected to the all-Gazette second team in 2008… Also lettered in volleyball at Northwest High School… Received the softball and volleyball Jag Award, which is given to the top player in each sport at her high school… A member of the National Honor Society and the International Quill and Scroll Society… An honor roll student and a Minds in Motion Award recipient… Chose UMBC over George Mason… Daughter of Albert and Deborah Forst… Has an older sister, Rebecca… Born Feb. 11, 1993… Major is undecided.
