Aaron Robinson joined the Retriever Softball staff in September 2023.
Robinson comes to UMBC after spending the previous season as the Associate Head Softball Coach/Recruiting Coordinator at Notre Dame of Maryland University. There, her recruited the program’s largest class ever, helped lead the Gators to its most wins in a single season (16 total wins – 14 wins - Division III). Helped develop five players to finish in the top 20 for batting average (2 in the top 10), All NDMU Pitchers finished in top 10 in ERA, and they had five All-CSAC Conference selections. Under his tutelage, the team batting average increased from .236 (2020), .306 (2022), .311 (2023), increased OPS .568 (2021), .722 (2022), .786 (2023), increased runs, hits, homeruns, runs batted in, stolen bases and total bases significantly from previous programs seasons to 2023.
He was previously a local high school softball and club coach as well.
