2012 Note: Will serve as team co-captain for the 2012 season.

  

2011: Saw action in 47 games and made 22 starts on the season, primarily at third base… Recorded three hits in 29 at-bats with two RBIs and nine runs scored… First career extra-base hit was a double against Morgan State (March 18)… Also scored a season-high two runs against the Bears... Recognized on the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

 

2010: Saw action in 40 games and made 10 starts… Picked up her lone hit of the season against Coppin State… Scored seven runs and stole two bases in three attempts… Saw time at second and third base, as well as shortstop… Named the team’s Unsung Hero at UMBC’s varsity awards banquet… Recognized on the America East Academic Honor Roll.

 

2009: Saw action in 45 games and made three starts… Collected two hits in 10 at-bats and scored nine runs on the season… Made her first career start against Iona (Feb. 28)… Picked up her first career hit and RBI against Fairleigh Dickinson (March 6)… Stole a base in the first game of the Bucknell doubleheader (April 14).

 

BACKGROUND: A three-time Times Leader All-Star, Coaches’ All-Star and Conference All-Star selection… Helped lead the Spartans to the district title in 2007… Broke the school record for most home runs in a season with eight in her sophomore campaign… Was highlighted in the “Who’s Who Among American High School Student-Athletes” in all four seasons… Recorded a .990 fielding percentage and a .286 batting average at Wyoming Valley West… Went 4-for-4 and hit for the cycle in a game that advanced the Spartans in the 2006 conference championship… Also lettered in water polo and golf… An Honor Roll student who was a member of the National Honor Society for two years… Chose UMBC over Fairleigh Dickinson for its strong academic and athletic programs and the diverse community… Has a younger sister, Marissa… Daughter of Lois Carver… Born July 12, 1990… Majoring in psychology.
