2016 Outdoor: Made his mark in the javelin during the outdoor season, breaking his own school record in the event at the Raleigh Relays with a toss of 74.28m... Earned gold at the America East Championships with a throw of 68.31m... Went to the NCAA Prelims for the fourth time in his career, turing in a sixth place finish with a throw of 70.90m, earning a spot at the finals in Oregon where he finished 21st with a throw of 69.21m.
2015-16 Indoor: Participated in the heptathlon during his final indoor season, with his best score of 4,649 at the America East Championships, earning a fifth place finish.
2015 Outdoor: Competed in the shot put, discus and javelin during the spring season... Had season bests in the shot put and discus at the Morgan State Legacy meet with throws of 13.62m (44'8.25") and 46.45m (152'5") respectively... It was the javelin that was his best event, however... He set the school record in the event at the iconic Penn Relays with a throw of 71.21m (233'7")... He would win the javelin at the America East Championships with a throw of 70.14m... He qualified for the NCAA Preliminaries in Jacksonville, where he went on to finish sixth to earn a spot in the finals in Eugene, Ore. ... At the finals, he finished 21st with a throw of 64.71m (212'3")... Earned USTFCCCA Honorable Mention All-America.
2014-15 Indoor: Competed in several events for the Retrievers during the indoor season... Ran the 60m dash and 60m hurdles on the track... His best 60m dash time came at the Terrapin Invitational, with a time of 7.47... Ran an 8.86 at the Penn State Relays in the 60m hurdles... Also competed in the pole vault, long jump and shot put for the Retrievers... Cleared a height of 4.05m (13'3.5") in the pole vault at the Terrapin Invitational... Had his best jump of 5.94m (19'6") in the long jump at the Metro Team Challenge... His best toss in the shot put came at the Penn State Relays, with a throw of 13.27m (43'6.5").
2014 Outdoor: Reached the NCAA East Preliminaries for the second straight year while competing in the javelin… Recorded his top throw of the season while winning the event at the season-opening FSU Relays with a toss of 66.09m (216’10”)… Also won the javelin competition at the Mason Spring Invitational and Big Dawg Invitational at UMBC Stadium… Competed in the discus and shot put, as well, during the spring season… Named to the America East Honor Roll.
2013-14 Indoor: Scored a career-best 4,889 points while winning a bronze medal for the heptathlon at the 2014 America East Indoor Track and Field Championships in New York… His total is the fifth-highest in school history… Won the shot put competition and placed second in the 60m hurdles during the seven-event competition at the conference meet… Finished in second place in the heptathlon at the Penn State Nationals, also winning the shot put and placing second in the hurdles event.
2013 Outdoor: Broke the school record in the javelin in his first collegiate outdoor meet, the Florida State Relays, and went on to reset it five more times during the season… Became just the fifth Retriever athlete to compete at the NCAA Championships… Recorded a career-best throw of 70.88m (232’6”) in his final toss of the NCAA East Preliminary to earn a spot at the national meet… Won the javelin event, in addition to the decathlon, at the 2013 America East Championships… Scored 6,585 points during his win in the decathlon, the fourth-highest total accumulated in school history… Won the discus, javelin, and shot put competitions during the ten-event competition, while finishing second in the long jump.
2012-13 Indoor: Placed third in the heptathlon at the 2013 America East Indoor Championships with 4,786 points, the fifth-most points ever gained by a UMBC athlete in the competition, at the time… Won the shot put portion of the competition with a toss of 13.57m (44’6.25”)… Placed second in the long jump event with a leap of 6.49m (21’3.50”).
Background: A ten-time state champion in the javelin, discus, and multi events between 2006 and 2010… Twice won the national team “Jugend Trainiert fur Olympia” in Berlin… Also played soccer.
