Biography
2018 Indoor: Ran in the mile and 1,000m runs during the indoor season… Started the season with a career best in the mile with a time of 4:45.71 at the Bucknell Tri-Meet… The next week he posted his season best in the 1,000m at the NYC Gotham Cup with a time of 2:48.68.
2018 Outdoor: Did not compete in the outdoor season.
2016-17 Indoor: Competed in two events… Ran a 4:51.5 mile at the 2017 Great Dane Classic to set a career mark… Set a career best in the 1000m, running a 2:45.6 at the Bucknell Tri Meet.
2017 Outdoor: Did not compete.
Background: Competed for Our Lady of Good Counsel for four years... WCAC champion in track for the 1600 and 800... Captain and MVP of track team... Fourth place finish in the state cross country championships in 2014 and 2015... Personal bests include 1:55 (800), 4:17 (1600), 9:34 (3200), and 15:57 (5000)... Selected for the AllRunWashington team in the fall of 2015… Member of the National Honor Society... Majoring in mechanical engineering... Eagle Scout... Has an older sister, Katherine... Son of Karen and Brian McGivern.
