2010: Named America East First Team All-Conference at No. 3 doubles… Posted a record of 14-8, including two four-match winning streaks in the spring… Was 16-6 in doubles competition for the year.

 

Background: Posted a record of 33-5 in two seasons at Tyler (Texas) Junior College… Competed in No. 1 singles for the Apaches, who finished second in the nation in the NJCAA ranking in 2008-09… Captured an NJCAA doubles title last season… Selected UMBC “because of its well-known sports and academic values”… Also competed in soccer while at Tuckahoe (N.Y.) High School… Considering a major in mechanical engineering… Has three brothers and one sister… A fan of the Miami Heat and Dwayne Wade and music of Kanye West… Son of Kai Namunyola… Born Feb. 24, 1989.
