2012: Earned America East Second Team honors in singles… Captured six of last eight matches of the season… The gritty competitor won five-of-six three-set matches and was 6-4 when playing at the Nos. 2 and 3 singles slots… Won 12 singles matches and now has a three-year mark of 44-25 in singles competition.

 
 
 

2011: Named to America East Conference First Team in singles competition … Recorded a 14-3 singles mark during the spring and captured  both of his matches at the America East Championships … Earned Second Team honors in doubles at the No. 3 position … Posted a 7-9 doubles record for the season... His overall singles record is now 29-9 (.763) through two seasons.

  

2010: Named America East Second Team All-Conference at No. 2 singles… Posted a record of 15-6, including two four–match winning streaks in the spring… Was 13-6 in doubles competition for the year… Named to the America East Honor Roll.

Background: Majoring in economics... Began classes and competition at UMBC in the spring semester of 2010… Won the Ile de France (a large region in France) tennis championship in 2004… Chose to attend UMBC because of its “academic level”… Interested in a career in business… Lists favorite tennis player as Georgian Irakli Labadze… Enjoys the music of Coldplay… Has an older brother, Guillaume, who is 26… Son of Patricia and Fabrice Berret… Born Jan. 5, 1990.
