• Earned a spot in the finals of the 100 freestyle at the America East Championships and finished in fifth place
• Competed in three finals at the ECAC Winter Championships, placing fourth in the 100 free, sixth in the 50 free and eighth in the 100 fly
• Captured gold in the 100 freestyle versus VMI
• Posted a pair of second-place efforts in the 50 and 100 freestyle versus Towson and at William & Mary

2019-20:

• Earned team’s GRIT Award post-season honor for the core value of Growth
• Produced an outstanding post-season for the Retrievers, earning a third-place finish in the 50 freestyle and a sixth-place effort in the 100 in the ECAC Championships
• Captured three silvers in the America East Championships (50 free, 100 fly, 100 free)
• His time of 44.82 in the 100 freestyle was a new personal best
• Won the 50 butterfly versus Howard in early January
• Won the 50 freestyle in the tri-meet versus Delaware and Hopkins
• Made season debut with a win the 50 freestyle versus Navy
• Also a part of both of UMBC’s winning relays vs. Midshipmen and earned America East Swimmer of the Week honors in the first week of the campaign

2018-19:

• Three-time finalist at the America East Championships.
• Earned silver in the 50 free (20.19) and bronze in the 100 free (45.70), setting personal bests in each event.
• Also finished fifth in the 100 fly with a time of 50.40.
• Helped the men’s 200 medley relay team break the school and conference record in a time of 1:27.41.
• At East Carolina, finished fourth in the 50 free with a time of 21.41; placed sixth in the 100 fly with a time of 52.28.
• Was a member of the 200 free relay team that reset the UMBC pool record (1:23.43) against Howard.
• Set another pool record with the 200 medley relay team in a time of 1:30.40 against VMI.
• At the Patriot Invitational, finished fifth in the 50 free (20.79), seventh in the 100 free (46.30), and 13th in the 100 fly (50.53).
• Against Towson, finished second in the 50 free with a time of 21.18 and third in the 100 fly with a time of 51.83.
• In his collegiate debut, finished first in the 50 free against Delaware and Johns Hopkins with a time of 20.75.
• Named America East Male Swimmer of the Week on October 10.

BACKGROUND:

• Posted a personal best time in the 50 free (23.31) at the Maria Lenk Tournament in 2017
• Also posted a personal best in the 50 fly (25.12)
• Brazilian National Champion in the 50 free (23.97) in 2014
