Biography
2014-15: Made a splash in his first year in Baltimore for the Black and Gold... Earned medals in three events at the CCSA Championships... Placed sixth in the 100 butterfly, clocking in at 49.75... Earned medals in both backstroke disciplines at the championships, including a sixth place finish in the 100 backstroke, in a time of 49.90... In the 200 backstroke, he touched the wall in 1:48.48 for the bronze medal... Named to the CCSA All-Academic Team.
Background: Set a Canadian National Record in the 200 medley relay in 2013… Was a Canadian Senior National “A” Finalist last year… Helped his team to a second place finish at the Eastern Canadian Championships his senior season… Was selected for the Ontario Team Training Camp.
Personal: Son of Diane Stephenson and Jeff Ruttan… Has one sister, Laura… Plans on majoring in Political Science… Born Dec. 3, 1996.
