BACKGROUND
  • A two-time finalist at the 2022-23 MPSSAA 4A3A state championships, placing fourth in the 100 freestyle and eighth in the 100 backstroke
  • Earn his team’s Most Valuable Athlete Award in 2021-2022 and its Sportsmanship Award in 2022-2023
  • Broke Clarksburg’s 100 freestyle high in 2021-2022 and again in 2022-2023
  • An honor roll student every year in high school and graduated with an associates’ degree (Montgomery College) before graduating high school
  • A member of the National Technical Honor Society member
  • Considering a major in information systems
  • Lists favorite books as The Fablehaven series
  • Enjoys biking   
  • Son of Rachel and Phi Truong and has three younger brothers
