Biography

2022-23

  • Served as one of the team’s captains
  • A three-time finalist at the America East Championships
  • Earned his second silver and fourth overall career individual medal in Worcester by placing second in the 400 IM with a season-best time of 3:58.09
  • Captured the silver medal in the 200 IM at the ECAC Winter Championships with a personal best time of 1:49.72
  • Won the 200 freestyle in the win over conference foe VMI

2021-22:

  • A three-time finalist at America East Championships, earning bronze in the 400 IM, sixth place in the 200 IM and seventh in the 200 breaststroke
  • Produced an outstanding ECAC Winter Championship meet, capturing silver in the 200 IM, bronze in the 400 IM and posting a fifth place finish in the 200 breaststroke
  • Won the 200 freestyle versus VMI

2020-21:

  • Edged for the top spot and was the Retrievers’ top finisher (second) in the 200 IM at VMI

2019-20:

  • Produced an outstanding post-season, swimming in four finals at the 2020 America East and ECAC Championships
  • Earned silver in the 200 yard IM and bronze in the 400 yard IM in Worcester
  • Placed fifth in the 200 yard freestyle at the ECAC Championships in a personal best time of 1:40.24
  • His IM swims and his sixth place finish at America East Championships were also career bests
  • Won the 200 IM in the victory at George Mason and came in third on “Senior Day” versus ECU

2018-19:

  • Three-time finalist at the America East Championships.
  • Earned bronze in the 400 IM, finishing in a time of 4:00.87.
  • Placed fifth in the 200 IM (1:51.48) and eighth in the 200 breast (2:07.39).
  • At East Carolina, finished fifth in the 200 free and 200 IM.
  • Finished sixth in the 200 breast in a time of 2:18.53 against Towson.
  • Against William and Mary, finished sixth in the 200 IM (2:00.24) and eighth in the 200 free (1:47.85).
  • In his collegiate debut, finished 10th in the 200 free (1:47.55) and 200 breast (2:19.22) against Johns Hopkins and Delaware.

BACKGROUND:

  • Earned a gold medal in the 100 fly (51.79) and 200 IM (1:54.32) at the New York Section I Championship
  • Swam for Condors Swim Club
  • Earned a sixth place finish in the 200 IM (4:42.16)  at the Metropolitan Senior Championships LCM in 2018


PERSONAL:

  • Son of James and Susan Dwyer
  • Has three brothers, Michael, Luke, and Aidan, and one sister, Grace
  • Majoring in psychology with career ambitions to be a forensic psychologist
