Accolades

  • Named to 2021-22 America East All-Academic Team
2021-22
  • A finalist in the 100 butterfly at the America East Championships, where he took fifth place
  • Earned gold on UMBC’s 400 freestyle relay team in Worcester
  • Produced some brilliant dual meet results, including a pair of wins in the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly at Seton Hall
  • Recorded an outstanding ECAC Winter Championships, finishing in the top eight in the 100 butterfly (2nd), the 50 freestyle (4th), the 100 freestyle (4th) and the 200 freestyle (8th)
  • Earned four total dual meet wins for the season, with other triumphs vs. VMI (100 fly), William & Mary (200 free)


2019-20:

  • Competed in three finals in his first America East Championships
  • Captured a bronze in the 200 freestyle, recording a personal best time of 1:38.71
  • Earned gold and swam the anchor leg as UMBC captured the 800 freestyle relay in pool record time (6:34.53) in Worcester
  • Earned his first collegiate victory when he defeated the field in the 100 fly in the victory over VMI
  • Took third in the 50 freestyle in early season meet versus Delaware and Hopkins

BACKGROUND:

·         A swimming All-American in 2019

·         Helped the Falcons win a Metro relay title during his tenure at Good Counsel  

·         A member of the National Honor Society

·         Also competed for the National Capital Swim Club  

PERSONAL:

·         Son of Maria Nadal and Arnaldo Laracuente

·         Has one older brother, Xavier, who swam collegiately at Lafayette

·         Interested in a career in business

·         A fan of Ian Dior and the NBA’s Houston Rockets
