Biography

2015-16: Swam at the CCSA Championships, swimming in breaststroke and butterfly events... Swam season best times in the 100 and 200 breast with times of 57.17 and 2:03.10 respectively... Finished the 100 fly with a career best time of 51.80... CCSA All-Academic Team.

2014-15: Earned sixth place (14th overall) in the B finals of the 100 butterfly touching in at 51.96 after going 51.89 in the preliminaries... Placed fifth in the 100 breaststroke finals at the CCSA Championships, touching the wall in 56.47 after going 56.07 in the prelims... He earned his third medal of the meet by placing sixth in the finals of the 200 breaststroke, touching the wall in 2:04.11... Named to the CCSA All-Academic Team.

2013-14: Reached the finals in the 100- and 200-yd. breaststroke events at the 2014 CCSA Championships in Knoxville, Tenn. … Placed fifth in the 100-yd. discipline and seventh in the 200-yd. event… Set season-best times in the prelims of both events, clocking in at 56.74 in the 100-yd. event and 2:03.02 in the 200-yd. race… Also competed in the 100-yd. fly at the conference championships, setting a season-best in the prelims with a time of 51.95.

2012-13: After transferring to UMBC mid-year, he helped the Retrievers cap their second-ever undefeated dual meet season and then reclaimed their America East title… Earned two silver medals at the conference meet in Maine, placing second in the 100-yd. (56.60) and 200-yd. (2:01.52) breaststroke events… Recorded his top times in both events during the finals… Won his first career dual meet race by winning the 200-yd. breast in his first collegiate meet against Old Dominion on Jan. 12.

Background: Finished second at the 2011 World Cup of High Schools... Won his heat and finished second in the 200m breaststroke at the 2010 Comen Cup... Helped lead his team to a promotion to the 1st Division in Spain.

Personal: Son of Oliva Hueros and Pablo Cano... Has one younger brother, Pablo... Favorite professional team is Real Madrid... Majoring in information systems.
