2023-24

  • Named as one of the tri-captains of the Retrievers

2022-23

  • Competed in three events at the America East Championships and his best finish was a tenth place effort in the 1650 freestyle 
  • Posted a second (1000 freestyle) and third-place finish (500 free) in the meet at Howard
  • UMBC’s top finisher (eighth) in the 1650 freestyle at the ECAC Winter Championships

2021-22

  • Competed in three finals at the ECAC Winter Championships and posted a personal best time in the 500 freestyle
  • Earned gold in the 200 backstroke in the victory over VMI
  • Posted a pair of third-place finishes in the 100 backstroke in meets versus Towson and at William & Mary

2020-21

  • Won the 200 butterfly and earned silver in the 100 backstroke at VMI, just over a second behind teammate Luka Zuric
  • Also earned silver in the 200 backstroke in Lexington
  • Earned silver as part of 200 medley relay squad at America East Championships
  • Took fifth place in 100 backstroke in Newark

BACKGROUND:                        

  • A 2020 USA Swimming and 2019 Scholastic All-American
  • Set a team record in the 100 backstroke (49.90) at the 2019 North Baltimore Aquatic Club Annual Christmas meet
  • Considering a major in mechanical engineering
  • A member of the National Honor Society and National Math Honor Society
  • Considered Georgia Tech and Case Western, but selected UMBC “because of the strong engineering program (and) welcoming swim team"
  • Older brother Matt is a junior on Retriever squad; is the youngest of four siblings
  • Plays the piano, cello, electric bass and Appalachian dulcimer
