  • Recorded an 8k personal best time of 26:24.3 and was UMBC’s top finisher in the open race at Lehigh (Paul Short)

  • Competed in all six meets during the fall 2021 season
  • Started the year with times of 17:11.93 and 17:05.29 in 5k races at the Mount 5K Duals and Navy Invite
  • Recorded times of 26:26.8 and 27:17.0 at he Paul Short Invite and Princeton Invite
  • Ended the year with a 26:27.06 at the America East Championships and 35:14.5 at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional
     
  • BACKGROUND: Competed in both cross country and track at Governor Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick… Earned Frederick County First Team Cross Country honors last year, while also earning the same honor in outdoor track… In 2020, he was CMC First Team in the 1,600m and 4x800m relay and second team in the 800m… Finished fourth at the 2021 Maryland State Outdoor Championships in the 1,600m after taking fifth at the indoor championships earlier that year… Earned a second-place finish at the 2021 Adidas Indoor Nationals in the mile in a time of 4:21.81… Also played soccer in high school… Son of Christina and John McKeever… Plans on majoring in Biomedical Science with a career ambition of being a prosthetic engineer… Lists favorite food as avocados and favorite movie as Step Brothers… Likes to hike when not competing.
