2021: Did not compete.

2019: Competed in all six meets for UMBC during 2019... Was the top finisher for the squad during the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional at a time of 32:49.00... Scored at the Mount 5k Duals (16:28.86), Navy Invite (26:28.29) and the America East Championships (25:52.45).

2018: Scored in one of the four races he competed in for the Retrievers during his rookie season… Scored at the America East Championships as the fifth fastest Retriever… Ran a 16:59.54 at the Mount 5k Duals, 27:29.90 at the Navy Invite and 26:34.2 at the Princeton Invite.

Background: Placed 17th overall at the Maryland state cross country 4A championships in the fall of 2017… Team Most Valuable Athlete in his final three seasons of competition… Placed third overall in the 3200 meters at the 2017 state outdoor track and field championships… Lists favorite musical artist as the legendary Bob Dylan… An avid reader and Frisbee player… Considering a major in financial economics… Has two older brothers, Alex and Ben, and a younger sister, Lindsey… Alex competed collegiately in baseball at Salisbury University… Son of Katy and Fred Thoms.
