Accolades: (2017-18) Earned America East Fall Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll accolades (2016-17) Earned America East Fall Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll status.

2019: Competed in four events for the Retrievers in 2019... Ran a season-best 16:37.96 at the Mount.

2018: Ran in all five races for the Retrievers… Was the top UMBC finisher at the Mount 5k Duals with a time of 16:01.89… Scored for the Retrievers at the America East Championships… Also scored at the Navy Invite (26:49.13), Paul Short Invite (26:28), and Princeton Invite (26:09.2). 

2017: Competed in the first three meets of the season. 

2016: Competed in the first two meets of the season, at Mount 5k Duals and at Navy Invitational.

Background: The 2015 MPSSAA 2A state cross country champion… Earned Carroll County Times Boys’ Cross Country Runner of the Year honors… Also captured the 2A state title in the 3200 meters in the spring of 2016…  A member of the National Honor Society and an AP Scholar with Distinction… Considering a major in mechanical engineering… Lists favorite food as shrimp and favorite professional sports team as MLB’s Baltimore Orioles… Plays guitar and piano… Has a younger brother, Jason… Son of Katie and Steve Cave.
