Endowment Funds

  • Kubiet Sports Medicine Educational & Scholarship Fund - Provides scholarship support and educational assistance to students of Sports Medicine.
  • Retriever Athletic Scholarship Fund - General scholarship support.
  • The Woolston Endowment Fund - To support tutorial services to student-athletes through the Academic Center for Student-Athletes in the Department of Athletics at UMBC.
  • The C. James Pfrogner Endowment - To provide funds to support both the men's and women's track and field programs at UMBC.
  • The C.E. and Esther L. Small Endowment - To provide funds to support tutorial services for student-athletes in the UMBC basketball program.
  • The John A. Jancuska Endowed Scholarship - To provide funds to support a scholarship for a student-athlete in the UMBC baseball program.
  • John Denice Scholarship Endowment - To provide funds to support scholarships for student-athletes in the women's basketball program at UMBC.
  • Robert W. Dietrich Scholarship Fund - To provide scholarship support for members of the men's lacrosse team.
  • Haud Collumi Scholarship Award - To provide scholarship support for a UMBC student who has played two consecutive years of men's rugby at the University and has a minimum 3.25 GPA. The award will be given to the selected student in the fall of their third year of playing rugby after it has been determined that they are playing rugby that year. If the selected student does not participate in rugby for a third year, another awardee will be selected. If there are no eligible candidates in any given year, no award shall be made, and spendable income shall roll over into the principal. 
  • Harry E. Young, Jr. Endowment for Soccer - To provide financial support to the UMBC men's soccer team. 
  • Milani Family Endowment - To benefit the women's lacrosse team at UMBC.
  • Barry Gossett Endowment for Excellence in Athletics - To support the University's efforts to be successful in intercollegiate athletics. 
  • Retriever Athletic Wellness Endowment - To provide discretionary funds for the wellness initiatives for UMBC's Division I Athletic Programs. The initiatives can include nutrition programs, sports medicine, mental health programs, and more.
  • Madison "Maddie" Bingaman Memorial Endowment - To support programmatic initiatives, including the Madison Bingaman Memorial Volleyball Tournament, for the women's volleyball program at UMBC. 
  • Pete Caringi, Jr. Fund for Excellence in Soccer - To provide funds for program and facility improvements, student-athlete health and wellness initiatives, and other efforts to improve the competitiveness of UMBC men's soccer.
