UMBC Cheerleading Squad

The UMBC Varsity Cheerleading squad performs at all home basketball games. The team consists of 15 to 20 members and is open to females and males. The team is chosen through spring and fall tryouts. The cheerleaders generally do not travel to events off campus with the exception of the America East Conference basketball championships.

UMBC was established upon the land of the Piscataway and Susquehannock peoples. Over time, citizens of many more Indigenous nations have come to reside in this region.
