Biography

2021 (GRADUATE STUDENT):

  • Played in all 12 games of the season, starting in three.
  • Recorded 14 points on the year (7g, 7a).
  • Scored a season-high four points against Hartford (2g, 2a).
  • Had multi-point games in both wins against Binghamton and the America East Tournament game against Stony Brook.
  • Also picked up five ground balls on the year and caused one turnover.

PRIOR TO UMBC:

  • Played midfielder for four seasons at Penn State.
  • Tallied seven goals and 18 assists in her career.
  • Had a career-best game against Duquesne in her sophomore season with two goals and four assists. 
  • Three-time Big Ten All-Academic selection.
  • Graduated with her degree in biobehavioral health.

BACKGROUND:

  • Was a four-year starter at Howard High School for Head Coach Diana Carey.
  • Served as a two-year team captain.
  • Led team to three Division 3A/4A North Regional Championships and three Division 3A/4A State semifinal appearances.
  • Earned Team MVP as a senior.
  • Named first-team All-Howard County, second-team Baltimore All-Metro and Washington Post All-Metro as a senior.
  • Named Howard High School Female Athlete of the Year as a senior.
  • Tallied 50 goals and 22 assists as a junior to be named first-team All-Howard County.
  • Was a senior captain on the soccer team, earning first-team All-Howard county.
  • Honored by The Baltimore Sun as Howard’s Player of the Decade and Second Team All-Decade.
  • Was a state finalist in soccer as a junior.
  • Was a three-year member of the basketball team.
  • Competed in indoor track as a senior, winning the County Championship and qualifying for regionals in the 500.

PERSONAL:

  • Daughter of Holly and Scott Schluederberg.
  • Has a younger sister, Kelly.
  • Grandfather, Donald Tate, played lacrosse at Johns Hopkins University and her father was a Division III soccer player at DePauw University.
